MORE, the Media Organization for Representation and Empowerment, is a nonprofit founded in Minnesota. We build platforms where African voices lead the conversation, and we use media as a tool for representation, dignity, and empowerment.
Our Mission
MORE equips African journalists, beginning in Liberia and Sierra Leone, with the training, technical infrastructure, and global publishing platforms to define and deliver excellence in journalism from where they stand.
Our Vision
A media landscape in which African journalists set the global standard for journalism about Africa, and the African journalists doing that work are respected, equipped, seen, welcomed, demanded, and empowered to do the work they were born to do.
What We Do
- We produce The Africa Desk Live, a live conversation series across fifty-four countries.
- We build fellowship and training pathways for storytellers and journalists.
- We publish a newsletter and companion content that extends each conversation.
